502 KAR 12:010, Sexual assault forensic-medical examination protocol, has been filed with the Legislative Research Commission for amendment. This administrative regulation establishes the procedures to be followed by medical staff before, during, and after the examination of a victim of a sexual assault. The regulation provides retention and storage requirements for sexual assault forensic examination kits and transfer of kits to law enforcement and the KSP forensic laboratories. This amendment updates the Kentucky Medical Protocol for Child Sexual Assault/Abuse Evaluation used by health care providers who conduct child sexual assault and abuse medical forensic evaluations of prepubertal and adolescent children.

502 KAR 10:120E, Hazardous materials endorsement requirements, has been filed with the Legislative Research Commission for amendment. This emergency administrative regulation establishes the procedures for conducting fingerprint verified background checks and establishing the location of the fingerprinting centers where the Kentucky State Police shall take fingerprints and transmit them to the federal government. This emergency amendment increases the fee Kentucky State Police collects on behalf of the Transportation Security Administration for conducting a hazardous materials endorsement security threat assessment. The fee collected by Kentucky State Police is increasing from $115 to $138.25 on December 2, 2024.

502 KAR 10:120, Hazardous materials endorsement requirements, has been filed with the Legislative Research Commission for amendment.
