
Single Vehicle Accident with Injuries (Muhlenberg County)
Greenville, KY – At approximately 9:25 A.M., Michael Johnson, 64 of Hopkinsville, was travelling North on KY 171 in a 2018 Nissan Frontier pickup. As Mr. Johnson negotiated a curve, just south of the rock quarry, he lost control of his vehicle due to weather conditions causing the curve being slick.
Mr. Johnson’s vehicle left the right hand side of the roadway striking an earth embankment, several trees, and overturned, where it came to final rest sitting upright facing east in the north bound lane of travel.
Both Mr. Johnson and his passenger, Mrs. Brenda Jones were transported to the Muhlenberg County Hospital by Muhlenberg County EMS for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Kentucky State Police was assisted on the scene by employees of the rock quarry, the Greenville Fire Department, and Muhlenberg County EMS
