KSP Investigates Fatal Crash in Pike County    

Detective Merlo of the Kentucky State Police is investigating this crash.

Hurricane, KY (April 28, 2018) Kentucky State Police Pikeville Post 09, are investigating a fatal ATV collision that occurred just after 1 PM in the Hurricane community of Pike County.

 

Troopers along with a detective responded to the scene and found during their preliminary investigation, two juveniles were traveling on North on Porter Lane and had attempted to make a U-turn. As the ATV was turning it left the roadway then overturned ejecting both occupants.

 

The passenger was transported from the scene by ambulance to Pikeville Medical Center where he was pounced deceased. The operator of the ATV was uninjured.
