Kentucky State Police Conducts Death Investigation in Floyd County

HUEYSVILLE, Ky. (March 12, 2026) – The Kentucky State Police Post 9 in Pikeville received a call from Prestonsburg 911 on Saturday, March 7, 2026, regarding an unresponsive female in the Hueysville community of Floyd County.

Kentucky State Police troopers and investigators responded to the area of Mulberry Lane, where they located a deceased female. The initial investigation indicates that Trishanna Anderson, 32, of Garrett, was found outside near the railroad tracks on Mulberry Lane. Anderson was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Floyd County Coroner’s Office.

The body was transported to the Kentucky State Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy. The cause of death remains under investigation at this time.

Detective Joseph Coleman is leading the investigation and was assisted at the scene by personnel from Kentucky State Police Post 9 and the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office.
