Kentucky State Police Investigate Escaped Inmate in Pike County

PIKEVILLE, Ky. (February 18, 2026) – The Kentucky State Police, Pikeville Post, is searching for an inmate who walked away from the Pike County Detention Center at 5:53 p.m. today.

Whitney Hurley, 36 years of age, from Freeburn, Ky., is described as a white female, 6’0″ tall, weighing 127 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes. Hurley was last seen wearing white shorts and a white t-shirt.

Anyone who may have information about the location of Whitney Hurley is asked to call KSP Post 9 at 606-433-7711.

The ongoing investigation is being conducted by KSP Trooper Brennan Eckart.
