UPDATED: KSP Opens Murder investigation in Johnson County

UPDATE (December 18, 2018) Details of this case span over a period of at least several days. The victim was reported missing yesterday, December 17 sometime after Noon. In addition, the family had concerns for her safety. The victim had no contact with anyone for several days or maybe even weeks. As troopers took the report and started searching for her, the investigation led them to the residence of Paul Lemay at Oil Springs.
Troopers arrived at the residence and made contact with Mr. Lemay. Information was obtained from him, which indicated he had in fact killed Mandy Lemay; he was then taken into custody. During the next several hours of the investigation, it was discovered the murder had taken place at an earlier date and time.
Detectives will be at the scene and in the Oil Springs area for the next few days looking for new details and information on the case. The victim’s body was taken to the Medical Examiner’s office for an Autopsy and results are pending.
Oil Springs KY (December 17, 2018) Kentucky State Police at Post 09 have opened a murder investigation at a residence on KY RT. 825 in Johnson County.
Troopers received information, which indicated a female might be deceased inside a residence at Oil Springs. During the investigation 27-year-old female Mandy Lemay from Oil Springs was found deceased from a gunshot.
Upon further investigation of this case, 50-year-old Paul Lemay from Oil Springs has been logged in the Johnson County Detention center and charged with murder.
The case is ongoing in the early stages, and further details will be released as they develop.
