Bath County Injury Collision    

This collision remains under investigation by the Kentucky State Police Post 8 in Morehead.

Owingsville, Ky.(February 13, 2019)  The Kentucky State Police Post 8 Morehead at approximately 1:30 p.m.  received information of an injury accident on Interstate 64  in Bath County.  Chester Sagraves, 55 years of age, of Greenup, KY. was traveling westbound on Interstate 64 operating a 2000 Dodge Grand Caravan.  Paul Haddix, 31 years of age, of Owingsville, KY. was also traveling westbound on Interstate 64 2006 Chevy Trailblazer.  It was determined that Chester Sagraves struck Paul Haddix in the rear end causing Mr. Haddix to overturn and strike an earth embankment.   Mr. Haddix was airlifted to the University of Kentucky Hospital while his juvenile passenger was transported to Saint Joseph Mount Sterling for precautionary purposes. Chester Sagraves and his passenger Bonnie Sagraves, 52 years of age, of Greenup, KY.  were uninjured in the collision.  Kentucky State Police was assisted by the Bath County Sheriff Department, Bath County EMS and the Bath County Fire and Rescue.  This collision remains under investigation by the Kentucky State Police Post 8 in Morehead.
