Crime Tip Leads To Arrest in Fleming County

FLEMINGSBURG, Ky. (January, 24, 2026) – On December 14, 2025 Kentucky State Police (KSP) post 8 Morehead received a crime tip from KSP’s website alleging that an adult male was having inappropriate conversations with juvenile females via snapchat.

Troopers launched an investigation into the allegations. After a lengthy investigation KSP charged Joseph Slone, 19 of Flemingsburg, with the following charges: Possession of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor O/12 <18 (41 counts), Distribution of obscene matter to minors 1st offense (2 counts), Procuring or Promoting use of a minor by electronic means (9 counts), Unlawful transaction w/minor 1st-illegal sex act (3 counts) and one count of Promoting a sexual performance by a minor (u/18).

KSP was assisted by Fleming County Sheriff’s Department. This case remains under investigation by Trooper Marvin Morris.
