Interstate 71 Closed in Gallatin County

GALLATIN COUNTY, Ky. (12/23/2022) – As a result of the winter weather Kentucky received over night travel has been severely impacted including Interstate 71.  Currently traffic is moving very slowly in the southbound lane near the area of the 63 mile marker in Gallatin County.  The northbound lane at the 63 mile marker continues to be closed due to multiple vehicle collisions during the night.  Multiple vehicles are off the roadway at this time.  Northbound traffic is being rerouted off exits 57 and 62.
