Kentucky State Police Investigates Fatal Collision in Hart County

MUNFORDVILLE, KY. (September 25, 2025) – Just after 11:00 a.m., the Kentucky State Police Post 03 received a call about a possible fatal collision. Troopers arrived at the scene at the 65.8 mile marker on Interstate 65.

A preliminary investigation indicates that a 2020 Chrysler Pacifica with a juvenile driver was traveling north on Interstate 65. The Chrysler collided with the rear end of a stopped 2023 Kenworth commercial vehicle operated by 59-year-old Jose Martinez-Monsivais. The driver of the 2020 Chrysler Pacifica was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Hart County Coroner.

The investigation is ongoing and will be led by Detective Bo Hubbard. He was assisted at the scene by the Hart County Sheriff’s Office, Hart County EMS, Hart County Coroner, Munfordville Fire Department and other KSP personnel.
