Kentucky State Police Investigates Shooting in Edmonson County

Brownsville, KY. (August 25, 2024) – At approximately 12:30 am the Kentucky State Police Post 3 received a call to assist the Edmonson County Sheriff’s Office at 656 The Bridge Road.

Ernest Cline 83 years-old of Bowling Green was found deceased inside of the residence in a bed. 

18 years-old Damien Worrel was arrested by Troopers with Post 03 and charged with Murder and Robbery. Worrel was lodged in the Hart County Detention Center. 

The investigation is ongoing and led by Detective Allen Shirley.
