Kentucky State Police Conducts Death Investigation in Hart County

HORSE CAVE, KY. (February 14, 2026) – At approximately 1:30 p.m., the Kentucky State Police Post 3 Bowling Green received a call regarding an unresponsive male. Troopers went on-scene at a residence in the 200 block of Vial Street and located the unresponsive male, later identified as John Ray, 46, of Horse Cave. Mr. Ray was flown to the University of Louisville Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The investigation continues and is being led by Detective Jordan Matthews.
