Kentucky State Police Investigates Allen County Shooting Incident

Scottsville, KY. (December 15h, 2021) – On December 14th, 2021, at approximately 10:47 p.m., Kentucky State Police, Post 3, Bowling Green received a request from Scottsville Police Department to investigate a shooting incident that occurred in Allen County. Troopers and Detectives responded to 110 Moncrief St in Scottsville, KY.

Kentucky State Police arrived at the residence and located Christopher Jones, 27, of Scottsville and Regina Ray, 63, of Scottsville, with gunshot wounds. Initial investigation indicates that Ryan Slaughter, 34, of Scottsville made entry to the residence and shot both Jones and Ray. Slaughter fled the residence and was later located in Scottsville.  Slaughter has been arrested and lodged in the Allen County Jail.  He has been charged with the following:

• 2 Counts of Assault 1st
• Burglary 1st
• 3 Counts of Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree

Christopher Jones and Regina Ray were transported to the University of Vanderbilt Hospital where Jones is listed in stable condition and Ray is listed in critical condition.

The investigation continues and is led by Kentucky State Police Detectives.
