Kentucky State Police Investigates Fatal Collision in Webster County

SLAUGHTERS, Ky. (07/15/2025)– On July 12, 2025, at approximately 4:52 a.m. (CT), Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 2 was contacted by Webster County dispatch requesting that we investigate a two-vehicle fatal collision on Interstate 69.

Preliminary investigation revealed that Heather R. Greer, 30, of Henderson, KY, was operating a silver Kia Sorento southbound on I-69. Gregory Lundy, 31, of Indianapolis, IN, was operating a tan Toyota Camry northbound on I-69.

For unknown reasons, the Kia Sorento crossed the median, subsequently entering the northbound lanes while continuing to travel southbound. The Kia Sorento then struck the Toyota Camry.

Heather Greer and Gregory Lundy were pronounced deceased on the scene by the Webster County Coroner.

A passenger in each vehicle, Malechi A. Baker and Ousmane A. Hamza, were airlifted to Evansville, IN, due to injuries sustained in the collision.

The investigation is ongoing by Accident Reconstructionist Jacob Stephens.
