Kentucky State Police Post 2 Investigates Shooting in Todd County
MADISONVILLE, Ky. (June 22, 2026) – Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 2 in Madisonville is investigating a shooting incident in Todd County that resulted in the deaths of two females.
On June 20, 2026, KSP was contacted by Todd County Dispatch and requested to assist with a shooting investigation near the 600 block of Gates Road in Elkton, Kentucky.
A preliminary investigation indicates that Elvis Belcher, 69, of Elkton, Kentucky, is responsible for the shooting deaths of Denise Bullion, 53, of Elkton, Kentucky, and Jacqueline Bullion, 36, of Elkton, Kentucky. Both victims were pronounced deceased at the scene by the Todd County Coroner.
Following the incident, Belcher was located nearby suffering from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was transported to a hospital in Nashville, Tennessee, for medical treatment.
The investigation remains ongoing by KSP Post 2 Detectives. Detective Kirby Broadbent is the lead investigator.
