KSP Arrests Two Muhlenberg County Men for Theft

Cleaton, Ky. (Muhlenberg County) – On February 23, 2020 at approximately 3:33 PM, Trooper Justin Cornett of Kentucky State Police Post 2 in Madisonville, observed two men on Nonnell Cutoff Road loading logs onto a truck and trailer, which had no rear tail lamps.

Trooper Cornett stopped to inspect the situation, where he came in contact with Michael Lambert, age 42, of Greenville, Ky., and Dillon Noffsinger, age 26, of Bremen, Ky. Through further investigation, Trooper Cornett learned the two men had trespassed on private property and cut down trees, which they were in the process of stealing.

Michael Lambert was arrested and lodged in the Muhlenberg County Detention Center, where he was charged with the following:

  1. TBUT OR DISP ALL OTHERS U/$500 OR MORE BUT U/$10,000
  2. CRIMINAL TRESPESSING- 3RD DEGREE
  3. NO REGISTRATION RECEIPT
  4. NO REGISTRATION PLATES
  5. IMPROPER EQUIPMENT
  6. INSTRUCTIONAL PERMIT VIOLATIONS
  7. DRAGGING STONES OR LOGS ON HIGHWAY

Dillon Noffsinger was arrested and lodged in the Muhlenberg County Detention Center, where he was charged with the following:

    1. TBUT OR DISP ALL OTHERS U/$500 OR MORE BUT U/$10,000
    2. CRIMINAL TRESPESSING- 3RD DEGREE
    3. DRAGGING STONES OR LOGS ON HIGHWAY
    4. DRUG PARAPHERNALIA BUY/POSSESS
