Daviess County Man Arrested by Kentucky State Police on Sexual Offense Charges

OWENSBORO, Ky. (April 14, 2026) –Troopers with the Kentucky State Police, Post 16 -Henderson, arrested a Daviess County man on April 14, 2026, following a month long investigation into allegations involving a juvenile.

At approximately 9:30 p.m., troopers arrested Juan Luis Mendez Segovia, 50, of Owensboro, KY, after an investigation revealed he engaged in a sexual relationship with a juvenile.

Mendez Segovia was charged with:

1) Human Trafficking – Sex Activity (Two counts)

2) Procuring or Promoting Use of a Minor by Electronic Means (One count)

Mendez Segovia was lodged in the Daviess County Detention Center in Owensboro, KY. The investigation is on-going by Kentucky State Police detectives.
