Kentucky State Police Investigates Fatal Collision in Greenup County 

GREENUP, Ky. (September 24, 2025) – Kentucky State Police Post 14 is investigating a fatal collision that occurred at approximately 6:59 a.m. at the intersection of U.S. 23 and Kentucky 3307 in Greenup, Kentucky. 

The preliminary investigation indicates four vehicles were involved in the collision. Frank William Ball II (age 54), of Catlettsburg, Kentucky, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Several other individuals were treated for minor injuries. 

The intersection was closed for a period of time to allow troopers and first responders to work the scene. This incident remains under investigation by the KSP reconstructionist.
