Kentucky State Police Post 12 Investigates Two-Vehicle Injury Collision

LAWRENCEBURG, Ky. (June 5, 2026) – The Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 12 in Frankfort received a call around 5:30 AM of a two-vehicle injury collision. The collision took place on US-127 bypass south near the Bluegrass Parkway in Anderson County.

The collision investigation indicates a Toyota 4-Runner, operated by Lauren Hudson, age 43, of Lawrenceburg, Ky, was stopped in the right lane of travel after first colliding with a Chevrolet Traverse. Moments later, a tractor-trailer, operated by David Morse, age 77, of Frankfort, Ky, struck the Toyota 4-Runner in the rear.

Due to the severity of the collision, Ms. Hudson was cared for by Anderson Co. EMS and later transported to the UK Albert B. Chandler Hospital in Lexington, Ky. Ms. Hudson is currently stable and continuing to receive care at UK Hospital with serious bodily injuries. Mr. Morse did not receive any injuries as a result of the collision.

KSP was assisted on scene by the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office, Lawrenceburg Police Department and Anderson Co. Fire Department. The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office investigated the non-injury collision that took place moments prior.

Detective Brandon Crabtree of KSP Post 12 is the lead investigator of the collision. He was assisted by other KSP Post 12 personnel.
