Kentucky State Police Investigates Shooting in Waddy, Kentucky    

This case remains under investigation by Detectives from the Kentucky State Police.

Waddy, Ky. (February 20, 2019) – Detectives from Kentucky State Police Post 12 in Frankfort, are investigating a shooting that occurred at 434 Bardstown Trail in Waddy, Ky.

 

On Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at approximately 4:00 a.m., Shelby County Deputies were dispatched to 434 Bardstown Trail in Waddy, for a reported shooting. When Deputies arrived they found a male subject laying on the ground outside of the residence. That person was transported by ambulance to Jewish Hospital, Shelbyville. He was later released. When Deputies entered the residence they found William M. Riddell age 53 of Waddy, he was deceased. William Riddell was pronounced dead by the Shelby County Coroner Jeff Ivers, at the scene. William Riddell’s cause of death will be determined by autopsy at a later date. After William Riddell’s was discovered the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office contacted the Kentucky State Police to investigate the murder. Detectives from Kentucky State Police Post 12 in Frankfort responded.

 

During the course of the investigation detectives were able to develop a suspect, Brian Myers, age 41 of Willisburg. Troopers from Post 12 in Frankfort were able to locate Brian Myers on the Bluegrass Parkway near the 53 mile marker, where they were able to conduct a traffic stop without incident.

 

Brian Myers has been charged with Murder. He has been lodged in the Shelby County Detention Center.

 

This case remains under investigation by Detectives from the Kentucky State Police.
