Kentucky State Police Post 1 to Honor Fallen Trooper

WHAT: Kentucky State Police, Post 1 troopers will lay a wreath at the memorial site of Trooper Eric Chrisman on the 11th anniversary of his death.

WHEN: Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at 10:30am CT

WHERE: The flag pole marking the memorial site of Trooper Chrisman, located at approximately the 0.3 mile marker of US 62 in Livingston County 

WHO: Kentucky State Police and family of Trooper Eric Chrisman. Anyone else who wishes to show their respect is welcome to attend.

WHY: To honor the sacrifice of Trooper Eric Chrisman and his service to the commonwealth of Kentucky. Trooper Eric K. Chrisman, age 23, was fatally injured on June 23, 2015, in a vehicle collision while en route to a reckless driving complaint on US 62 in Livingston County. Upon receiving his commission as a trooper, he was assigned to Post 1, Mayfield, where his death came only six months into his career.
