Kentucky State Police Investigate Fatal Multi-Vehicle Collision in Christian County

MADISONVILLE, Ky. (March 31, 2026) –Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 2 troopers are investigating a multi-vehicle collision that resulted in a fatality in Christian County on Saturday, March 28, 2026.

A preliminary investigation indicates that three vehicles were traveling eastbound on Interstate 24 near the 86-mile marker when they collided, resulting in multiple injuries and one fatality. Two passengers were airlifted due to serious physical injuries.

Passenger Elizabeth Lubke, 39, of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, was airlifted to a hospital in Tennessee, where she later succumbed to her injuries on March 30, 2026. The second passenger who was airlifted is expected to recover.

The investigation remains ongoing and is being led by Trooper Nathan Pedigo (U/789) of the Kentucky State Police.
