Kentucky State Police Seeking Public Assistance Identifying Person of Interest

KUTTAWA, Ky. (February 10, 2026) – Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 1 is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a person of interest in an ongoing investigation.

On January 20, 2026 KSP Post 1 received a report of counterfeit money being used at the Wendy’s in Kuttawa. Security footage from the incident was obtained. Attached is an image from that footage. The incident took place around 1:35pm CT on January 20. The individual is described as a white male with dark facial hair, observed wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, khaki shorts, and a dark baseball style hat.

The investigation is ongoing by Trooper Derral Redwine. Anyone with information related to the identity of this individual is asked to contact KSP Post 1 by calling (270)856-3721 or submitting a tip through the KSP Tip Line.
