
Fort Campbell Man Arrested after Pursuit Through Livingston County
Trooper Casey Hamby is continuing the investigation.Smithland, KY. (January 7, 2020) – At approximately 5:55 p.m., Troopers Casey Hamby and Will Propes observed a dark blue 2015 Toyota Camry traveling north on State Route 453 near Iuka at a high rate of speed. Troopers attempted to initiate a traffic stop and the operator failed to pull over. The operator attempted to turn onto Heater Store Road, but lost control, running over a road sign. The operator then put the vehicle and reverse and continued driving on Heater Store Road. Troopers observed the vehicle turn on Ramage Cemetery Road. Troopers observed the vehicle parked at 715 Ramage Cemetery Road with the lights turned off and the operator and passenger still inside. Troopers conducted a felony traffic stop at which point the operator and passenger were detained.
The operator, Tevin M. Nicander, 20, of Cary, North Carolina, was arrested and charged with Wanton Endagerment-1st Degree, Fleeing or Evading Police, 1st Degree (Motor Vehicle), Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree, Leaving the Scene of Accident-Failure to Render Aid or Assistance, and other traffic offenses. Nicander was lodged in the McCracken County Detention Center. The passenger, Alex M. Adams, 20, of Fort Campbell, Kentucky, was released from the scene. Trooper Casey Hamby is continuing the investigation.
