Kentucky State Police Conducts Death Investigation in Edmonson County

Smiths Grove, KY. (September 09, 2024) – On Monday, September 9, 2024 at approximately 7:30 pm, Post 3 received notification of a deceased male at his residence of 80 Timberwood Drive, Smiths Grove, KY (Edmonson County). 

Units responded to the scene to find the subject deceased.  The decedent, Christopher W. Helson,43, of Smiths Grove was pronounced deceased by the Edmonson County Coroner.  Next of kin has been notified.  An autopsy is scheduled next day.  There is no threat to the community at this time.  Detective Michael Waggener, Unit 899 is investigating case: 03-24-0298 – Death Investigation.
